3D models for online stores

One 3D model replaces dozens of photos: customers rotate it, zoom in and place it in their room. For your store you need a GLB model that is light and has real-world dimensions.

Live demo, no camera needed.

What it brings

  • GLB or glTF format

The standard for web and AR. If you have FBX, OBJ or STEP, we convert it.

  • Ideally under 10 MB

The studio optimises the model and converts textures to WebP. It accepts up to 100 MB.

  • Real dimensions

A model in metres appears at the right size in the room. You check it in the preview.

  • Where to get one

From the manufacturer (they often have it), a 3D studio, a phone scan, or we make it.

Suitable experience types

  • In the room

Furniture, appliances, art. The model at real size in the customer’s home.

  • In the space around

Several models at once, such as a whole living room or a booth. Placed at real size in the room.

  • Virtual showroom

A room with products on pedestals. Customers look around, tap a product and see the price and a link.

  • 3D scan

A scan of a product or space from Polycam, Scaniverse or Luma. Customers spin and zoom it in photorealistic quality.

How to start

  1. Ask the manufacturer

Furniture and lighting makers often have models for architects.

  2. Or scan the product

Polycam, Scaniverse and Luma create a scan from a phone video.

  3. Upload it to Dimenzum

Check the size and the model is ready for AR and 3D preview.

FAQ

How much does a 3D product model cost?

From tens of euros for a simple object to hundreds for upholstered furniture. A phone scan is free.

Can I use the manufacturer’s model?

Yes, if the manufacturer allows it for sales. Check the licence.

What is the difference between a 3D model and a 3D scan?

A model is built by hand and is light. A scan is photorealistic but larger. Dimenzum shows both.
